The ritual of the Quinceañera is a popular custom among Hispanics in which a young woman commits herself publicly to the exercise of the Catholic Faith. It is not a Sacrament of the Church, nor is it required for anyone to receive it. However, it is a wonderful occasion for the family and friends of the young woman to witness her personal dedication to the Christian life.
Call the Parish Office at least six months in advance to request the celebration of the Quinceañera. Requirements: Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Confirmation, and First Communion) and an Archdiocesan Retreat. Please contact the Archdiocesan Office of Hispanic Ministry to find out when the next Quinceañera retreat is.
There is a fee for the use of the church.
